Though the leak of Superstar Rajinikanth’s introduction scene in ‘Kabali’ late on Wednesday night was aimed at dousing the expectations on the movie, it worked exactly the opposite.
The clip, which was apparently shot in the United States during a special show, which was attended by Rajini himself, has actually increased the expectations, with the makers of the film and ‘thalaivar’ fans thanking the pirates.
Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu wrote on Twitter: “Watching #Thalaivar entry on phone or computer won’t give you goosebumps. Say thank you to pirates,let’s watch it in theaters from Friday :)”
While director Pa Ranjith posted: “Magizhchi!!superstar send neriya kisses”, Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth wrote: “#StopPiracy ,let’s watch #kabali in theaters from Friday #thalaivarAdhuradi”.
Meanwhile, director Venkat Prabhu has posted on his timeline: “No matter who releases what! No matter who leaks what! No one can stop the earth shattering mind blowing weekend box office! #kabalida”.
