Velammal Main School conducted ‘Adolescence Health Awareness Programme’ on 17th August 2017 in its School premises. Eminent Doctors Dr. Veni President OGSS, Sri. Balaji Medical College, Dr. Vijaya, Professor OG, Madras Medical College and Dr. Mala Raj, Managing Director Firm Hospital were the guests of Honour. Adolescence is a period of happiness and perplexity. It is a transition from childhood to adulthood. The doctors briefly discussed about the problems and the hormonal changes faced by the teenagers. They also briefed about the do’s and don’ts during adolescence. Finally, the students were advised to drink plenty of water and say ‘No’ to junk food and soft drinks. The motive behind this session was to provide a ‘Healthy Younger Generation’.
