SEMA MOVIE REVIEW

Pandiaraj produces Sema that has GVP in the lead role and is directed by Valliganth.

SEMA offers nothing new and is a rehash of some of Dhanush earlier movies. The story line, the characterization of the hero all reminds us of Dhanush and his earlier movies. The movie moves at a languid pace and there are no surprises throughout the film. The one liners tries to be the saving grace and yet it does not quite make an impact despite Yogi Babu’s looming presence.

GVP plays this next door boy character blandly while Yogi Babu does his bit though not in his usual form here. Arthana is just about average in her role. Kovai Sarala and Mansoor Ali Khan do their loud bit that is expected out of them.

Vivekanandan behind the camera does a decent job, while GVP composes decent songs and is OK in the BG score. Pradeep edits this film and has to be appreciated for keeping this film short. Dialogues are conventional while direction for a first timer is average.

Sema at the most can be a onetime watch only if you have nothing else to do.
