The Mechanic (R) is the sequel to The Mechanic (2011) which catapulted Jason Statham to great heights. Here again he is back in this continuation directed by Dennis Gansel
The story hits off straight away in action mode and in the very first few minutes you very well know how predictable this is going to end. The plot is pretty straight and dull as you can get. The screen play is amateurish and you hardly have to ruffle anything between your ears to watch this movie. The writing is poor, especially the execution of the “executions” belong to stupidity of the first order.
Jason Statham waltzes in this routine role that has no scope for anything. Alba does her best to look pretty and nothing else. Others in the movie are cartoons with no definitions.
Cinematography is top notch and the visuals splendid taking the viewers on a virtual tour cutting continents but they sadly do not save the movie. The dialogues are quite pathetic and the action scenes lack any innovativeness. The background score too is uninspiring and the editing as dull as you can get. This poorly written script fails to click with an aimless direction.
Just do not visit this Mechanic go elsewhere..
