Balaji Tom of Lady Dream Cinemas produce this movie that is directed by debutant Balaiya D Rajasekar . KP boasts of a decent technical crew.
KP has a very interesting and innovative premise. Though a very ordinary plot it is the background against which the plot is set that makes KP a decent watch. The freshness is more associated with the “setting” of the movie and that helps the movie progress nicely. Yes it has its flaws here and there and some typical logical bloopers that could have done away with.
Sachin as the hero does a neat job while Nandita as his love interest too is quite natural. A host of comedy actors in the form of Mayilsamy, Sendrayan and Mano bala with Kutti puli provide some comical moments.
Set in Pondicherry M Sukumar’s cinematography is pleasing while Sean Ronald provides peppy and youthful music. Dialogues are OK and direction for a debutant looks promising.
Kaathirupor Pattiyal is a decent watch that can be enjoyed in parts.
