After writing popular Bollywood films like Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Rowdy Rathod, and 40 Telugu films, Vijayendra Prasad who has penned down the story of Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi shares a little about his experience.
The writer shares, ” Manikarnika has a similar temperament as Baahubali. Rani of Jhansi is the symbol of our National pride. It’s a tradition in every city and town of Andhra Pradesh to keep their daughter’s name Jhansi, where I come from. I have kept my daughter’s name Manikarnika, which is when I decided to write on the life of Rani Lakshmibai. And finally I got a chance to work on her story. Believe me, I was so excited to get this opportunity that within one month I completed writing the enitre story. There are some stories which inspires you from the within, Manikranika is a story like that. Her story is like a motivational painting.”
Directed by Krish and produced by Kamal Jain and Zee Studios, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi features Kangana Ranaut, Sonu Sood and Ankita Lokhande.
