The Fairy God Mother Charitable Trust, an N.G.O focusing on the betterment of Women on a wide spectrum of life issues under the leadership of former singer Roopa Menon presented ‘Gaane Jaane Maane’ a musical evening with popular music conductor Raffi’s ‘Friends Orchestra’ at the Museum Amphitheatre Egmore Chennai on 22nd January 2017, 6.30 pm. The 20 member Orchestra performed a list of evergreen hits from old and contemporary Hindi films.The Orchestra included playback singers Bagyaraj & Ganga along with Roopa Menon and many other senior artists from the Cine Industry. The funds raised from the event will be used to support the present projects and future events of the charitable trust.

The Fairy God Mother Charitable Trust is an Initiative by Former singer, Entrepreneur and Management consultant Roopa Menon and fellow trustees P Janardhanan Menon & Kannaki Ramadoss. The N.G.O largely focuses on the betterment Women on a wide spectrum of life issues. With the conviction that knowledge is power, The Fairy God Mother Charitable Trust has been providing education to the underprivileged girl children from classes 3 to 12 for the past 8 years. They also support collegiate education on a case by case basis. They provide free breakfast at school premises for girl children from classes 7 to 12 and offer Motivational support , organize lectures,activities & workshops for teenagers. The NGO is proud and happy to serve the society along the Prime minister’s ‘Beti bachao, Beti padhao’ yojana.
