KATHAR BASHA ENDRA MUTHURAMALINGAM MOVIE REVIEW

Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam is an action drama written and directed by Muthaiah. The film is produced by Drumstick Productions and Zee studios.

Muthaiah’s template is well known and he doesn’t surprise you with the same machinery at work here as well. There are some surprises as the name would have clearly suggested and the predictability of it is for all to see. The panchayat scenes, family conflict, melodrama, scores of villains and the one single hero who burns everything that is in his sight. There are atleast 7 action scenes before the interval. It is an action carnage and with the heavy background score it’s a tough proposition to sit through the first half. The second half is all about the overdone melodrama and a new villain to take us through the torturous later half. There is nothing new in the film that Muthaiah has not offered the viewer and he continues in the same vein just that this time he takes it a notch down.

Arya is in one attire and has one emotion throughout his stages. Siddhi Idhani comes and goes. Prabhu is boring and Bhagyaraj is unimpressive. There are a slew of villains and they do what they are asked to do. Scream loud and run around.

Velraj’s cinematography is good. GV Prakash’s background score is loud and annoying. Dialogues are ordinary. Editing is generous. Direction is template.

KATHAR BASHA ENDRA MUTHURAMALINGAM is a tiring watch !
