Amortela is association with Lakshmi – Saraswathi & Event Art presents, ‘Divas & Drapes’. Enjoy an artistic exploration of the relationship between fabric & the feminine form, in a scintillating performance by the musical duo of Lakshmi & Saraswathi, replete with song, dance & dialogues.
The six/nine yards of a sari are a celebration of womanhood, weavers, colors, craftsmanship, empowerment & elegance, that stretch back as far as three thousand years ago. Artists Lakshmi & Sarawathi’s ode to this gorgeous garment comprises a two-act, 30-minute performance where the first act depicts Draupadi’s experiences in the Kaurava court & the transition of the sari as a symbol of power, while the second act includes popular dance sequences from much-loved Bollywood divas!
In line with the celebration of the sari, Amortela launches an exclusive collection of linen, ikat & jamdani saris, hand-woven by traditional artisans & weavers across the country.
