Hitherto popular for playing bubby roles, Kajal Aggarwal, it is learnt, will be seen playing a homely married woman in her upcoming film, which will have Ajith in the lead.
“She will play Ajith’s wife in ‘Thala-57’. It is an intense character and she is thrilled about it,” sources said, adding that Kajal would join the sets of the movie in Bulgaria from the second week of August.
The team has already left for Europe, where the shoot will commence early next week. Pooja for the film was conducted in Chennai during the first week of July. The event held at a Sai Baba temple saw the participation of producer T G Thiyagarajan, director Siva, music composer Anirudh and others.
“Ajith did not attend the function since his looks in the movie have been kept as secret,” sources said, adding that the ‘thala’ is playing a James Bond-type stylish role in this yet untitled movie.
