MARUTHI NAGAR POLICE STATION MOVIE REVIEW

MARUTHI NAGAR POLICE STATION is an investigative thriller written and directed by Dayal Padmanabhan. The film has an OTT release on Aha.

The film begins with a supposedly thrill moment, but unfortunately the scenes are so artificial and unbelievable that it makes it tough for the viewer to invest in it further. The comedy scenes that follow are so cringe worthy that it takes frustration to newer heights. With a manufactured superficial writing the film goes on to make a mockery of not just the proceedings in the movie but also the viewers who are watching it. The viewers are expected to understand not just whatever is told in the movie but also are expected to assume the bonding between the lead characters who are out for revenge. The climax is as predictable as you knew it would be. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar continues to be stiff in her roles. Mahat comes in a few scenes and is good. The others are very average.

Technically the film is weak, perhaps because it was for the OTT. The cinematography by Shekar Chandru looked very ordinary. Background score by Manikanth Kadri was OK. Dialogues are unimpressive and direction rudimentary.

MARUTHI NAGAR POLICE STATION is a tough watch even on OTT
