Hrithik Roshan returns after the disastrous Mohenjodaro. He has the famous action director Sanjay Gupta helming the film while his dad Rakesh Roshan takes care of the musical score.
Kaabil has a century old revenge saga plot that is tried differently with the lead characters portrayed blind. The sad part of Kaabil is that the mundane plot has no interesting screen play and the script is largely somber. The scenes are very predictable and dumb with no interesting game play and that lets down Kaabil big time.
Hrithik Roshan does a decent job though there are times you wonder whats so different in his performance. Yami Gowtham is by now used to this routine and gives her predictable performance. Others in the cast are OK.
The cinematography is so so. The music department fails big time with the songs sounding quite old. The editing just about manages while the dialogues are very ordinary. The direction department is just functional.
Kaabil might find favour with some but for the ones expecting a shrewd and tight crime thriller Kaabil is a letdown. At the most its watchable for Hrithik.
KAABIL – NOT ENOUGH !!
