Discover the true potential in custom tailoring with nearly unlimited design options at ‘Poshaak’, nestled in Washemenpet, inaugurated on Sunday. The shirting and suiting studio is spread across sprawling 1000 feet and caters to audience looking towards mid to premium range. It was inaugurated by Gunwanthi Devi, the chairperson of the studio.
Set up by the proud owners of the popular HK enterprises that manufactures fabric, Poshaak boasts of over thousand designs in cotton, equally attractive and elaborate selection of suiting, imported wool and over 500 designs in linen ranging from plains, checks to stripes and a lot more.
“It is a one-stop store where a groom can get everything he wants, from accessories to clothing. With an in-house stylist, the clothes made here are not just like any other shirts or suits, but an experience tailored only for you. We have a variety of options including Sherwanis, Indo-western, Bandis, Bandh Galas, Business Wear and Casual Wear. Not to forget the perfect accessories including ties, belts, shoes and cufflinks among lot others that perfectly match your dress,” said Sourabh Kankaria, creative director, Poshaak.
For suits, they offer fabrics from popular brands like Raymond, Tessuti, Soktas, Grasim and even imported italian fabrics. Shirting too, they have both Indian and International mills. “The Indian fabrics come in the mid range and if the groom wants a premium look, he can go for imported fabrics,” suggested Sourabh.
He further added that things are changing in Chennai and grooms are experimenting with what they wear and this store exactly caters to that type of audience.
“We have an office in Ahmadabad and two offices in Chennai. This is our first studio and we have opened it in Washmenpet as a tribute to the home that it has been since we started 40 years back. We are planning to open three more studios within a year,” said Sourabh.
