M Sasikumar is upbeat about his upcoming release ‘Kidaari’, directed by Prasath Murugesan. “It was a knot which I had in my mind. So when Prasath Murugesan narrated it to me, I readily agreed to be part of it,” the actor-director says.
On the meaning of ‘Kidaari’, he says, “it holds different meanings in different areas. In Kovilpatti locality, Kidaari means a rough and tough guy.”
A teaser of ‘Kidaari’ was released recently and it was well received in the social media. The 48-second well-made teaser describes the character of the protagonist (Sasikumar) through OAK Sundar.
If one is to go by the teaser, ‘Kidaari’ appears to be an action flick set in rural backdrop. The title was obtained by Sasikumar from his good friend and actor-director Samuthirakani, it may be noted.
The movie, which is also produced by Sasikumar, features Napoleon in a supporting role and Darbuka Siva as the music composer. Nikhila Vimal of ‘Vetrivel’ fame is the heroine.
