Bollywood actor Vipin Sharma of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ fame has been roped in by Mani Ratnam for a key role in his forthcoming venture ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’, that has Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in key roles.
Sharma is known for his works predominantly in Hindi cinema. He is an alumnus of National School of Drama, New Delhi, India and the Canadian Film Centre, Toronto, Canada.
In ‘Taare Zameen Par’ (2007) written by Amole Gupte and directed by Aamir Khan, he played a dyslexic child’s father. A few days ago, he has joined the sets of ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ in Coonoor.
Meanwhile, Sharadha Srinath is also part of the project. She wrote on her microblogging page: “Travelling with @RJ_Balaji from Coimbatore to Ooty right now. Our first day on Mani sir’s sets tomorrow. Deivameeee.”
A R Rahman is scoring the music, while R Parthiepan’s daughter Keerthana is assisting Mani in this flick. Remember she played the lead role in ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ when she was a child artiste.
