The shoot of ace director Manirathnam’s upcoming film ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is underway at a brisk pace. Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, the film is said to be a romantic entertainer.
Now, the latest from the unit is that veteran character artiste Delhi Ganesh has joined the cast.
“The ‘Avvai Shanmughi’ actor has been brought on board for a prominent role. He will playing a colonel in this flick”, said sources.
Delhi Ganesh will be seen as Aditi’s grandfather in the film, it is learnt.
His combination scenes with the ‘Madras’ star will be among the highlights of the film, add sources.
With music by A R Rahman, the film is produced by Madras Talkies and has cinematography by Ravi Varman.
