Nobody can forget Dhanush’s brother character in Vellai Illa Pattadhaari. His innocence and the boy-next-door acting made the Audience feel him as their own Son or brother. And now the young and charming actor turned-out as a bearded Hero in the upcoming Tamil Horror flick ‘Rum’. Directed by debutant Sai Bharath, the film ‘Rum’ is produced by Vijayaraghavendra of All In Pictures. While Hrishikesh plays the lead, Anjathe Narain, Vivek, Sanchita Shetty, Miya, Amzath, Arjun Chidambaram are playing the pivotal roles in the film Rum. The film is electrified by Rockstar Anirudh’s music.
“The Word Rum is not an alcoholic drink. Rather it is derived from an ancient word which means judgement. I know it is the season for Horror genres in our Tamil film Industry but I am very sure that Rum will stand out of the box from the other horror flicks” says Hrishikesh confidently. It is to be noted that actor Hrishikesh’s Grandfather and Great Grandfather are filmmakers. “I literally grew up in studios and have been exposed to all the aspects of cinema, radio and ads from a young age. I have no camera fear and that acts as my biggest advantage. After VIP I was getting quite a lot chances, but I was waiting for the right one because I don’t want to waste the strong platform that VIP has given me. Once I heard the script of Rum I have decided to be a part of it” he added.
The Music track Hola Amigo composed by Anirudh for Rum has stolen the hearts of youngsters on the first day itself. ” Anirudh is our strongest backbone because his scintillating music is the main reason for our film RUM’s Unique Sell Proposition. Though he is my cousin, he has agreed to compose for Rum only after hearing the script, he got more excited to work with Rum. I believe strongly that Rum will take the Horror genre Cinema to the next level” smiles and signs-off young Hrishikesh, the lead of Rum.
