Suriya’s birthday is today (July 23) and the actor is being showered by wishes from fans, friends, colleagues and well-wishers.
“He got the blessings of his parents Sivakumar and Lakshmi this morning. His wife Jyothika, children Diya and Dev, brother Karthi and other members of the family wished him. Later, he met fans at a marriage hall,” sources said.
“It was his meeting with fans after a gap of two years. While his fans were elated, Suriya was more than happy,” sources added. Suriya, who runs Agaram Foundation, asked his fans to reach out to those who need help in education. Around 10,000 were present.
After making his debut in ‘Nerukku Ner’ (1997), Suriya landed his breakthrough role in ‘Nandha’ (2001) and then had his first major commercial success with the thriller ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ (2003).
At present, he is acting in ‘S3’, the third instalment of ‘Singam’ series. His last release is Vikram Kumar-directed ’24’
