Supreme Court orders notice to Latha Rajinikanth

latharajiniEven more than two years after its release, the ‘Kochadaiyaan’ controversy is yet to die down. On Friday, the Supreme Court issued a notice to Latha Rajinikanth in connection with a cheating case.

The apex court bench led by Justice Ranjan Gogoi sought response from the wife of superstar Rajinikanth, in connection with the case of alleged cheating of a post-production unit involved with ‘Kochadaiyaan’.

According to the petitioner Ad Bureau, Latha, after receiving money from them by promising the distribution rights of ‘Kochadaiyaan’, sold them to Eros International.

Bengaluru police have registered a case of forgery and cheating against Latha Rajinikanth. However, the Karnataka High Court quashed FIR lodged against her by the Bengaluru Police. Following this, Ad Bureau has approached the Supreme Court.
