Siddharth vents his ire against stalking in films

siddharthSiddharth’s social activism came out in open when Chennai suffered from its worst floods ever in a century, last December. The actor formed a team, reached out to the affected areas and helped the needy.
And now, the ‘Boys’ and ‘Enakkul Oruvan’ actor has said that films are setting a bad example to the society in issues such as men stalking women.
He has come out with a series of tweets in the wake of the murder of software professional Swathi at the Nungambakkam railway station recently.
We’ve been selling a terrible dream in our films for long. That any man can get the woman he wants just by wanting her enough. Must change!” he said.
He added: “When a woman stalks a man in our films she’s a vamp. When a man does it he is a hero. It’s a complicated discussion. But it needs to be had.”
