It was Parineeti Chopra who was originally finalised by director A R Murugadoss for his next venture, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual starring Mahesh Babu in the lead.
However, it is now learnt that the Bollywood actress has been replaced by Rakul Preet Singh of ‘Ennamo Edho’ fame, who is currently a leading heroine in Tollywood.
“Since there were some date issues, the replacement has been made,” they said. Ealrier too, Parineeti was initially said to be the heroine of ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ (remake of ‘Thupakki’), directed by Murugadoss with Akshay Kumar in the lead.
But she was replaced by Sonakshi Sinha in the last minute. Meanwhile, the yet untitled film of Murugadoss with Mahesh is expected to have S J Suryah as the villain. It will go on floors soon.
