Poorna and Vinay Rai are sharing the screen space in a film titled ‘Ammayi’. The movie is tipped to be a horror thriller and the ‘Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moondramandu’ and ‘Vellore Maavattam’ actress is playing a village belle.
“I am happy to bag this role since it is an interesting one. I play a mischievious village girl and Vinay plays my husband. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is doing a key role in ‘Ammayi’,” says Poorna.
She is however quick to dismiss that she is playing a ghost in the movie. “No, I am not playing the spirit. It will be a suspense element and I am not supposed to reveal it now,” she says.
This apart, Poorna is part of films such as ‘Savarakathi’ and ‘Manal Kayiru 2’, besides projects in Telugu. In ‘Savarakathi’, she plays the wife of director Ram of ‘Thanga Meenkal’ fame. Mysskin plays a key role in the movie.
