With multiple versions doing rounds about the health of Superstar Rajinikanth, who is in the United States for almost a month, some reports even claimed that his upcoming film ‘2.0’ helmed by Shankar would even be shelved.
However, Raju Mahalingam, the creative head of Lyca Productions which is bankrolling the big-budget flick, has clarified on the Superstar’s health and the status of the project.
“Recently, I spoke to Rajini sir. He is quite hale and hearty, and will be joining the 2.0 team for shooting, in August,” said Raju Mahalingam, vehemently denying the ‘negative reports’.
He said further: “All reports regarding his health are untrue. We are planning to resume shooting in August.” Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar are playing key roles in ‘2.0’, which has musical score by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.
