Karunas to quit Nadigar Sangam post

KarunasKarunas is now no more just an actor. He is a MLA, after he won the recently concluded Assembly elections from Thiruvadanai constituency.

Since he finds it tough to balance his profession, political career, family and his vice-president post in the Nadigar Sangam, he has decided to quit from the actors’ association post.

Also, he has said that henceforth he would be choosy in committing films, as he is a legislator and hence, answerable to people. “But I will certainly do my films, it is my cup of tea,” he said.

At present, he is part of Dhanush-starrer ‘Vada Chennai’ and ‘Kodi’, Santhanam’s ‘Dhilluku Dhuddu’ and other movies. He said that he has been regularly meeting people in his constituency to listen to their woes and address them.

“I became MLA because of people and Amma chief minister J Jayalalithaa. I must fulfil their expectations,” he added.
