Actor Karunakaran who was last seen in movies like ‘Jackson Durai’ and ‘Oru Naal Koothu’, has completed filming for his next, ‘Kanneer Anjali’. Sources said, the uniquely-titled film is in its post-production stage and will hit the theatres soon.
Starring the comedian-turned-actor in the lead role, the film has ‘Edhir Neechal’-fame Suza Kumar as his pair.
“While Anand Raj plays the baddie, ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran plays a pivotal role”, added sources. Tipped to be a comedy entertainer with fantasy elements, the film is said to revolve around the concept of life after death.
“We have tried to present the ideas of heaven, hell and re-birth in a humourous and thought-provoking manner”, said sources from the unit.
‘Kanneer Anjali’ is helmed by Guhan Senniappan, while S Subbiah has bankrolled the film. Meanwhile, the latter half of the year is said to be a busy one for the ‘Uppu Karuvadu’ actor who has several projects in his belt.Some of these include ‘Kavalai Vendam’ with Jiiva, ‘Parandhu Sellava’ with Luthfudeen, ‘Thiri’, ‘Jeiyyikira Kuthirai’ among others.
