Kamal Haasan fell down in the stairs at his office-residence at Alwarpet in Chennai in the wee hours of today and fractured his leg. He was rushed to hospital immediately.
“Kamal was admitted to Apollo Hospitals where doctors provided him first aid. After that, they performed a minor surgery on his leg. He is perfectly fine now and needs some days rest,” sources said.
The actor-director’s publicist Diamond Babu said in an online statement, “Kamal ji slipped and fell in the stairs at his office and has fractured his leg. Admitted in Appolo Hospital. Will recover soon.”
Only recently, Kamal returned to Chennai from the United States, after completing a schedule of his upcoming film ‘Sabaash Naidu’ there. He was expected to go back to the US soon and also to attend London Indian Film Festival (LIFF), where he was supposed to receive the Lifetime Achievement award,
