Jack Black gets emotional as he remembers Robin Williams

We already know that Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle would pay tribute to Robin Williams’ character, but here is Jack Black giving us an insight about his feelings about late Robin Williams and how Williams’ character Alan Parrish has a role to play in the movie.

Jack Black, who plays a female high school student that transforms into an avatar of an archaeologist, said part of the preparation for the role came from his own life.

When asked about the presence of Williams’ character presence in the film Jack said,” So as you know, in the original Jumanji, Alan Parish, Robin William’s character gets sucked into the game when he is a little boy and he has to survive for 25 years in the jungles, the deep dark jungles of Jumanji but we never see that. We just see him go in and then cut to 25 years later he comes out a full grown insane man. So this movie, our Jumanji kind of fills in the time, you get to see where he was for all that time. And even though he is not there, the remnants of him are still there. Like this house that he built is there, it’s kind of like a Swiss family Robinson situation and we find clues about how he was able to survive and it helps us to survive in the game as well. So his presence is very much felt even though he’s not in it. “

Even if William is not physically present, the movie ensure to give you an essence of Robin’s character in this part.

We can’t wait to see the legend of Robin Williams on screen and transport ourselves to that secret and wondrous land, with the danger and the beauty.

‘Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle’ will release on 29th December 2017.
