After undergoing a surgery on his right leg, which he fractured after falling down in the stairs of his office-residence at Alwarpet in Chennai,

Kamal Haasan is fast recuperating at the hospital.“He underwent surgery. He is stable. He will be in the hospital for next 2-3 days,” said a medical bulletin from Apollo Hospitals, where Kamal was admitted to on Thursday.
Meanwhile, his elder daughter and popular actress Shruti Haasan posted on her microblogging page: “Thank you for all your messages of concern and well wishes – my father is doing much better !
In the wee hours of Thursday, the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ fell down in the stairs and fractured his leg. He was rushed to hospital immediately.
Only recently, Kamal returned to Chennai from the United States, after completing a schedule of his upcoming film ‘Sabaash Naidu’ there. He was expected to go back to the US soon and also to attend London Indian Film Festival (LIFF), where he was supposed to receive the Lifetime Achievement award.
