Dhanush is playing a dual role in ‘Kodi’ directed by Durai Senthilkumar (of ‘Kaaki Sattai’ and ‘Ethirneechal’ fame) and one of them will be a politician. Trisha, the heroine of the movie, is also playing a politico, it is learnt.
“The story is about plans to set up a nuclear plant in a village and how the movie faces strong opposition from the local people. Both Dhanush and Trisha play politicians from rival camps,” sources said.
For the first time, Santhosh Narayanan has scored music for a Dhanush starrer. “The film is ready and it would hit the screens in August, after ‘Kabali’ storm is over,” sources added.
Cinematography and editing for ‘Kodi’ are handled by Venkatesh S and Praveen K L respectively. The project was first announced during August 2015, when Dhanush revealed that he would produce and act in Durai Senthilkumar’s next film, after he finished his ongoing commitments.
