The Chennai District Masters Athletic Association is conducting the Chennai District Masters Athletic Meet on 5th & 6th October 2019, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Chennai) from 6.30am to 5.30pm.
This meet is for all men and women from the age of 35 Years to 100+ Years. More number of Athletes are participating in this sports meet.
Following events will be conducted in this sports meet.
Walking: 5 KM
Runs: 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M, 1500M, 5000M, 10000M
Jumps: High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault
Throws: Shot Put, Discuss Throw, Javelin & Hammer Throw
Hurdles: 80M, 100M, 110M, 300M, 400M
Chennai District Masters Athletic Meet is scheduled to conduct all the events in both A and B Ground for all age groups.
The Chennai District Masters Athletic Association President Mr. M. Shenbagamoorthi and Mrs. T. Rukmini Devi (Secretary) will invite the athletes and will honour the Cheif Guests.
Actors Arya, Vishnu Vishal, SJ Surya, Athulya Ravi, Biggboss Fame Abhirami, Directors KR, Prabhu Solomon, Magizh Thirumeni, Krithika Udhaynidhi and more celebrities are invited to give the awards for the winners.
The winners of the District Meet will be selected for the State Meet.The winners at the State meet will be selected for the National Meet and the National medalists will be selected to participate in the Asian and World meet.
The Asian meet will be held at Kuching, Malaysia in December 2019 and the World meet will be held at Canada in 2020.
The Chennai District Masters Athletic Association is Affiliated to Masters Athletic Federation of India and the Asian and World Federation.
