‘Vinveli Payana Kurippugal’ is actor Athvik Jalandhar and director R. Jayaprakash’s first movie. The movie is made in a very different way and is definitely not the regular kind of Kollywood cinema that you get to see!
Dora Singham (Athvik Jalandhar) plays the role of a goon in the film and is considered to be the Minister’s right hand. This happens to be the main reason why people never say or do anything against him; though most of them think he is a lunatic. He has a keen interest in space exploration and an acquaintance from US tells him that there is a company called SpaceX that can actually send him to space. This settles on his mind and Dora Singham is now hell bent on going on a trip to Space!
Things get worse for him when he asks his sangam people for funds to realize his dream and which costs a whopping 25 crore rupees! Everyone around him thinks this is a very bad move and hence they start plotting to get rid of his idea or if needed, HIM! Dora Singham’s character is played really well by Athvik and you will for sure think of the character to be a dominating and self-centered person who can go to any limits to make his dream come true.
The movie has no female lead as such, but Pooja Ramakrishnan plays the love interest of Dora Singham and has a very limited role to play. The film is shot mostly in forests of Telangana and parts of Madurai and Aruppukottai and is 2 hours and 14 min in duration. It is produced by Yazh Mozhi R Babu Sankar under the company named Lemurian Thirakkalam. It is a bit slow moving due to the way it has been scripted.
Dora Singham tries his best to go against one and all to make it to Space, but does he succeed in it? Do the people who plot to kill or harm him succeed in their intentions? These are what form the crux of Vinveli Payana Kurippugal. It is for sure an unconventional film and is recommended at least for a one time watch.
