VIJAYANAND MOVIE REVIEW

VIJAYANAND is the biopic of Karnataka’s businessman Vijay Sankeshwar. The film is directed by Rishika Sharma. VIJAYANAND is produced by Anand Sankeshwar.

Biopics are a big challenge and they are far and few in Indian Film Industry. VIJAYANANAD is not well known outside his home state Karnataka and there lies the difficulty too. The film makes an interesting beginning and slowly then turns into a documentary with scenes that have been told earlier. The film narrates an inspiring story of a man who overtook every obstacle to reach the pinnacle in his industry. What slows down the film is its length. There are many scenes that feel stretched to make it more natural and organic.

Nihal has given a good account of himself in the lead role. Bharat Bopanna is decent. As usual Anantnag scores high. Ravichandran and Prakash Belawadi are good.

Technically the film is very good. Cinematography is very good. Gopi Sundar’s musical score is very effective. Dialogues work well. Direction by Rishika stands out.

VIJAYANAND is an inspiring film and a good watch!!
