SOLLIVIDAVA MOVIE REVIEW

Arjun Sarja needs no introduction and lecture on patriotism. Every own movie of his would broach the subject and he takes pride in it.

The story of this film is a little interesting. Romance in the backdrop of Kargil war and this movie is set in that period. The first half is a tedious watch and some silly writing to get to the plot does not help either. It is only in the second half that the film gets into business. The romance is decent and a twist towards the end also is decent. There is a lot of preaching and lecturing that drags the scenes though he manages to try and infuse some patriotism in the scenes.

Chandan Kumar is handsome and is a natural. He is also good in action scenes and emotes well too. Aishwarya Arjun has improved leaps and bounds and is quite decent in this film. Prakash Raj in a cameo does wonderfully well. Suhasini Maniratnam is graceful in her small role. Venugopal, cinematographer does a very good job and captures the locales well. The action scenes are choreographed and shot well. Sadhu Kokila scores well in the back ground department while Jassie Gift’s songs are OK with one being good. The movie could have been 30 minutes short and the dialogues are lengthy at some places. Direction is just about OK.

SOLLIVIDAVA has right intentions but is marred by its length and lack of smartness.

SOLLIVIDAVA – SALIPPU !!
