SEYAL MOVIE REVIEW

Ravi Abbuli directs this movie which has a newbie in Rajan Tejashwar donning the hero’s role. His family produces this film.

Seyal begins as an action thriller and builds up a nice premise that should have been developed into a nice edge of the seat action movie, that should have worked for a top hero. But what it does is makes a spoof of itself mocking its own villain. All through the film you wonder if it is a comedy or an action film. With the underlying suspense being the only thing holding the movie there is nothing else that makes the movie interesting. The romance too is kind of forced.

Rajan Tejashwar is mostly convincing as the hero, but his accent does not fit. Tharushi is OK in a regular role. The others including the villain do not impress in their weakly crafted roles.

Elayaraja is good behind the camera, SiddharthVipin is loud in the background while the songs are below standard with poor lyrics.

Dialogues are OK while direction Ravi Appulu is OK.

SEYAL is at the most a very average attempt.
