SEEMATHURAI MOVIE REVIEW

The story of Seemathurai is pretty straight forward with no surprises whatsoever. The routine old story of the hero who follows a girl until she says yes and then the baddie who comes to spoil their fun and now how they get out of this mess is what all the film is about. The screenplay too does not offer you anything new and sticks to the same formulae as before. The dialogues work fine. The length of the film could have been shortened. But it is the execution in which the film falters. Geethan as the hero does a decent job along with the heroine Varsha. Adesh Bala as the villain works his way.

The film is pleasing to watch because of Thirgnanasambandam’s cinematography and Jose Franklin has given some good hummable numbers along with a decent background score. Seemathurai written and directed by Santhosy Thiyagarajan is at the most a decent attempt
