SEEMA RAJA MOVIE REVIEW

Siva Karthikeyan joins Ponraj once again after their huge success with VVS and Rajnimurugan. 24AM produces this venture..

Every upcoming star needs a movie that banks on hero worship though they still have not got there. The stars unapologetically play ball when the director pitches such a script. Ponraj does the same. Sells SV a script on similar lines. The duo’s earlier two ventures relied heavily on comedy and this movie too takes a similar easy route. There is nothing new in the story and it is just a concoction of many successful commercial movies and even some scenes are straight lifts. The comedy not withstanding the movie tends to get on your nerves. The century old storyline and pathetic presentation is a pain. The saving grace is the neatly done flash back though the content was bland.

Siva Karthikeyan has a meaty role with his side kick Soori. Siva as usual manages to carry his role effectively though the buildup does not stick. Soori kicks dust with his comedy some might find entertaining. Samantha plays her role without any major effort. The others like Simran have weak roles without any substance.

Balasubramaniam camera work is good. The art by Mohan Raj for period setting deserves mention that. Iman music score is okay and does well in the background score. Editing by Vivek is average. Dialogues are okay and direction standard.

Seema raja could have been a terrific hat trick by the combo but ends up a disappointment.

SEEMA RAJA – GOOJA !!
