SATHYA MOVIE REVIEW

Sathya is the faithful remake of Telugu super hit “Kshanam” the remake rights of which was bought by Satyaraj for his son Sibiraj.

This unpredictable movie with its twists and turns manages to keep the audience guessing throughout. The film does not waste time and begins with a bang right from the very first scene. Sathya has a very strong script that is kind of a surprise these days and therein lays its strength. Despite a strong script the movie falters in terms of presentation and execution. A sense of boredom creeps up despite the mystery. The unravelling of the guilty too is kind of forced. The screenplay at some places is not convincing enough.

Sibiraj prefers to play such roles where the script is the hero and these roles do suit him, Remya is decent in her role while Varalaxmi continues to overdo her roles though having good potential. Others give ample support

Sathya is technically very sound. Arunmani has stylishly shot the film, while music by Simon King is good. Editor Goutham could have tightened the movie further while dialogues are decent. Direction by Pradeep Krishnamurthy is OK.

Sathya does impress but could have been a lot more exciting that it turns out to be.
