PUPPY MOVIE REVIEW

Puppy is a romcom written and directed by debutant Nattu Dev. The film is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International

PUPPY has a puppy plot that could have been cute and quite entertaining, instead, the writing is pedestrian, especially dialogues that are crucial in genres such as these does not seize the audience. The screenplay lacks scope to deliver interesting lines nor amusement. Too many songs mar the narration.

Varun plays his part well. Samyuktha Hegde is decent. Yogi babu delivers his one liners that are fast fading. Motte Rajendran is his usual self.

Deepak Padhy’s camera work is fine. Dharan Kumar’ music fits the genre of the film. Richie has little to do in editing notwithstanding the short length of the film. Dialogues are a downside. Direction for a debutant is good.

PUPPY despite its “adult” flavour strangely does not tickle nor does it regale.

PUPPY – POLI !!
