PALLI PARUVATHILE MOVIE REVIEW

PALLI PARUVATHILE is by debutant Vasudev Bhaskar and produced by D Velu for Connect Film Media. The movie created a buzz with veterans being cast in supporting roles and pre-release talk about how good the movie turned out.

Sadly, this rich girl vs poor boy story supposedly based on a true incident starts as flat as it can and stays flat till the end. This ancient plot suffers more so not because of the plot but because of its antique presentation. Despite having decent character artistes in the film the movie tries to be a tear jerker thereby pulling the entire film down. The forced melodrama and piled on tragedy makes for painful viewing.

Nandhan Ram plays the lead role and he plays his part well, Venba his love interest is OK though she could have done better. KS Ravikumar and Urvashi play important roles but are tiring in their characterization. Others are inconsequential in their roles.

Cinematography by Vinoth Kumar is OK, music is by Vijay Narayanan and is quite dull. Editing by Suresh Harsh does not impress either. Dialogues are simple and direction juvenile.

PALLI PARUVATHILE does not impress one bit.
