NENJIL THUNIVIRUNDHAL MOVIE REVIEW

NTI is by director Suseendran. Suseendran is widely acknowledged as a prominent director in Kollywood and is famous for movies like Naan Mahaan Alla, Pandiya Naadu. NTI is produced by Antony.

NTI takes the template of usual Suseendran movies but then tries to be a little different. Suseendran is known for his racy screenplay but in this movie he falters terribly. An interesting plot is let down by a screenplay that moves at a snail’s pace. The slightly engaging writing lacks depth and is not strong enough. The characters look under developed and so the interest of the audience wanes.

Sundeep the hero of the film is average while Vikrant who is used to these kinds of roles does his routine. Mehreen as the love interest is hardly seen while it is the Vikrant’s love story that takes the centre stage. Utthaman in his sad wig is unconvincing while others do their part.

Cinematography by Laxman Kumar does not fit into the proceedings, and music by D Imman sounds blaringly out of sync with whatever is happening on screen. Even the songs don’t last. Dialogues are average while direction by Suseendran is half hearted.

Nenjil Thunivu Irundhal lacks grit.
