Naai Sekar Returns is an 2022 Indian Tamil-language comedy film produced by Subaskaran Allirajah and written and directed by Suraj. Vadivelu is back after a long hiatus in this film.
In yet another attempt at being a hero and nothing else Vadivelu’s attempt at it falls flat right from the beginning. Suraj, known for his terrible screenplay and story before continues in the same vein and does an absurd comedy film that has some science fantasy as its base. The screenplay is an assortment of silly comedy tracks that are cringeworthy. There is nothing that can salvage the film. The strictest of Vadivelu loyalists would find it difficult to sit through the film.
Vadivelu looks aged and cannot shoulder this despite trying his best. The cast is huge with many characters and all are loud to the point of being annoying with no special mention of anyone.
Vignesh Vasu’s cinematography is functional. Sontosh Narayanan’s musical score is the saving grace. Editing is generous. Dialogues don’t work and direction is a farce.
