Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty is a romantic comedy film written and directed by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla. Baahubali fame Anushka Shetty is back on the big screen after a long hiatus.
The film has a undemanding plot and doesn’t waste time in spelling out what the script is all about. The screenplay gets to the workings immediately and keeps it simple and uncomplicated peppered with humour and ease of understanding. What works for the film majorly is the way the writer has handled a sensitive subject in a laid-back environment desisting from trying to convey messages from any side. Yet there are a few stretches that could have been done away with and the portions where the film feels a little longer. For some, the lack of emotional connect could be a dampener too.
Anushka Shetty delivers a polished and restrained performance. Naveen Polishetty is a delight to watch and lights up the screen every time he is on it. The others are decent.
Nirav Shah’s cinematography is topnotch. Songs by Radhan are decent. Gopi Sunder’s background score connects. Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao’s editing could have been finer. Dialogues are fun and direction good.
