MARAINDHIRUNDHU PARKUM MARMAM YENNA MOVIE REVIEW

Mathiyazhagan produces this flick that has new comers in the lead role. This flick was long due and it releases after three years of making.

Yes the movie suffers because of the delay as the plot has already been dealt with in “Metro” which came close to a year back. There is a sense of déjà vu as the movie proceeds and midway thankfully it takes a different direction though there are no surprises in any form whatsoever. The buildup and a few action scenes catch your attention for some fleeting moments but otherwise the movie treads on the path of the known and towards the end tries to be a wannabe mass film. MPMY could have been more than what it is but ends up less than what it should have been.

Dhruvya is OK as the hero, Aishwarya Dutta And Anjana Kirti have very little to do and do less in their roles. Chakravarty is back after a long hiatus but looks out of sorts. Saranya does her template role well while mime Gopi too goes around in his trademark style.

The movie again suffers from limited budget and hence at many places it looks out of sorts. Cinematographer PG Muthaiah has done a decent job. Achu does a good job with his background score trying to help the scenes and the songs are listenable. Editing is average and dialogues quite decent. Direction by Rathesh is good for a first timer.

MNPMY could have been a lot better but suffers from delay and predictability
