KAATHUVAAKULE RENDU KADHAL MOVIE REVIEW

KAATHUVAAKULE RENDU KADHAL is produced by Rowdy Pictures and written and directed by Vignesh Shivan.

KRK is like any other love triangle but treated differently. Therein lies the problem too. The film is mostly bland and without any emotional connect. The characters despite being played by potential actors falls flat as they are layered singularly and react very predictably. The women in the movie are typecast in their respective roles and that’s a huge letdown. The most expected comedy scenes are far and few and hardly work. The first half is long drawn for things to fall in place while the second half doesn’t have in it much to excite.

Vijay Sethupathi is back to being in his comfort zone. The blank expressions and his wooden body language work here. Samantha is on a roll while Nayanthara plays her part effectively. Sreesanth is okay in his small role. The rest make their presence felt.

Kathir’s cinematography is good. Anirudh is the winner here as well like in most recent Tamil movies. The Naan mazhai song is a gem. Sreekar Prasad’s editing is okayish. Dialogues are good and direction is decent.

KAATHUVAAKULE RENDU KADHAL is a below average film saved by average performances.
