KAALI MOVIE REVIEW

Vijay Antony has turned into a bankable star and now with Kruthiga Udaynidhi associated with VA, Kaali turned out to be one of the expected movies this quarter. VA bankrolled this film.

Well this is a movie that starts out with a plot and has many more subplots that is on flashback mode. The problem with Kaali is it looks cliché every scene and there is no scope for surprises even in the form of treatment or the environment. The film is an assorted film of
the 80’s that spoke about a lot of contentious issues then. Nothing works in the film to catch the slightest attention.

Vijay Antony does the same in all the roles that he has in the film.

It is the women in the film who score especially Amritha Iyer, while Sunaina is decent and Anjali is average in a forgettable role. Others in the support department are OK.

Richard Nathan is OK with his camera work, Music is not upto the mark despite VA helming it. Editing is average. Dialogues are standard and direction is substandard.

KAALI does not live upto its expectation at all. Add to it is the “propogation” factor that sees so contrived and forced.

KAALI – GAALI !
