IRUTTU ARAIYIL MURATTU KUTHTHU MOVIE REVIEW

Santhosh Jayakumar is back after the success of “Hara Hara Mahadevaki” with IAMK. Similar to his early movie he hypes up his movie with another “crazy” title. Gnanavel Raja funds this film.

It would be injustice to call this an “Adult comedy” for IAMK is one trash can of “lewd” jokes that extend much beyond its expiry period. Well again from horror movies to horror comedy now we have horror adult comedy. IAMK has everything that can make you feel at the “edge”. Half dressed women, crude jokes and a host of demeaning double dialogues that means only “one thing”.

Gautham is the new “poster boy” for such films and he is at ease in such roles. His boyish char
m works wonders. Vaibhavi and Yashika do what is expected out of them. The comedians in the form of Mottai Rajendran and Karunakaran try to provide comic relief in vain.

Ballu behind the camera is OK. Balamurali Balu scores the music and provides the “flavor”. Dialogues should go well with people who like such comedies. Prasanna edits this film well while direction is not upto the mark.

IAMK could have been sensibly written and not just rely on its so called “jokes” to sail it through. But then how can you blame the makers when they decided to get the “A” certificate first and then decide to write the script and dialogues.
