Ghajinikanth Movie Review

Ghajinikanth’ is a light hearted comedy flick starring Ghajinikanth/Rajinikanth (Arya) and Vandana (Sayyeshaa Saigal) in the lead roles.

It is the story of Ghajinikanth who has strange issues with remembering things. He forgets almost everything every now and then and that’s what makes up for the humour factor in the movie.

Vandana’s dad (Sampath Raj) Is the first one to find this out and refuses to get his daughter married to him. However, Ghajinikanth meets Vandana through a series of events and they soon fall in love with each other. The hilarious part is that Ghajinikanth manages to find a way to hide his memory issues from her everytime. Vandana plays a Kuchipudi dance teacher.

Vandana’s dad gets a proposal for her through a family friend, but Vandana refuses to marry him. This annoys the guy a lot and he is out to take revenge. Hell breaks lose for Ghajinikanth when he comes to know who is Vandana’ s dad!

Would Ghajinikanth be able to set things right with Vandana’s dad and manage to impress him? Does Vandana come to know of Ghajinikanth’s problem and does she still accept him in her life or does she just leave him and go away? All this and more for you to watch out for in the movie Ghajinikanth!

Arya and Sayyeshaa have both done a decent job with their roles. Some of the other actors who have done a decent job with their role are Ghajinikanth’s friend (Satish) and Ghajinikanth’s parents. The movie does tickle your funny bone and you do get to see a light hearted comedy entertainer! Songs of the movie are just average. The movie is a remake of the Telugu movie Bhale Bhale Magadivoy.

The movie and screenplay is by Santosh Jayakumar under the Studio Green banner and the music is by Balamurali Balu.
