The story revolves around the recent hullabaloo of nominating priests at temples. A supposedly “duplex” movie that has two different halves, the first half of the film drags through offering some reprieve later in the form of comedy and some interesting take on the subject. Post interval the film takes a serious turn taking the issue head on and offering to represent both the sides. The movie obviously has its intent clear about the issue, albeit some reservations.
Karthik RS is decent as the goofy hero. Ayraa is good too. Rohini does not impress.
Arun Radhakrishnan’s cinematography is fine, Guna Balasubramanian’s background score is a good attempt. Prakash Karunanithi could have worked harder in the editing department. Dialogues are effective and direction for a debutant is worthy.
ENNANGA SIR UNGA SATTAM is a laudable and humorous attempt of a controversial topic.
