DHILUKKU DHUDDU 2 is produced by Santhanam directed by Rambhala and is a sequel to DHILUKKU DHUDDU that was an average fare.
A supposedly horror comedy, like most such films DD2 has nothing remotely that is horror or comedy. The movie begins with some lame comedy and it is only towards the end that it tries its hand at some terribly silly horror. Like the usual Santhanam movies you have “counter” comedies that fall flat offering nothing new. The romance is painful and so are the action scenes.
Santhanam is fine when he tries to entertain with some laughter while in action and romantic scenes he is mostly a misfit. Shritha Sivadas has little to do to make any observations. Motte Rajendran’s reputation continues taking a nose dive while Urvashi adds up to this silly farce.
Deepak Kumar’s cinematography is OK, while Shabir’s musical score too kind of averages out. Dialogues are plain and editing by Madhavan Madhu is decent. Direction by Rambhala is average
DHILUKKU DHUDDU 2 is the same staple diet most horror comedy films from Kollywood have dished it out. Strictly for the ones who enjoy such fare.
