CHENNAI TO SINGAPORE MOVIE REVIEW

This movie was showcased as a rom-com  that is directed by Abbas Akbar for Ghibran whose foray into movie production is with this film.

The movie has a wacky kind of premise and so most of everything is taken for granted. That also means that seriousness is thrown out and a lot of crazy ideas are strewn around with dollop of comedy. The idea is grand but the execution falters and that is where the film takes a beating. Even the comedy is OK at places and otherwise does not impress. The romance is non-existent despite being advised as such.

Gokul Anand is good in his first film and should find good offers, Anju Kurian is OK as the love interest while the rest are decent in their stranger roles.

Cinematography by Karthick Nallamuthu is neat while Gibhran rocks the music scene with his snazzy score that makes the scenes more interesting than they actually are. Dialogues are OK while direction by Abbas borders on being average

C TO S is not a comfortable travel save for some parts.
